From my drawing board because I used to have an amazing reicipe for marble cake years ago and lost it. This recipe is delicious and you deserve to splurge during holiday season. You can also make substitutions like melted chocolate bars or cocoa mix

Recipe Disclaimer:

this recipes contains alcohol (rum), not all alcohol will burn off during baking/cooking, trace amounts could remain. Be mindful of the alcohol content in the recipe and take caution with a hot oven when baking 'Marble Me' cake.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups of flour

1 cup of butter (2 sticks), softened in micro

4 eggs

2 1/2 tsp. of baking powder

1 cup of sugar

1/3 cup of rum

2/3 cups of milk (I used almond)

1 tsp. of vanilla flavoring

1/4 tsp. of salt

1/2 of a 10 oz jar of Graeter's bittersweet chocolate topping

STEPS:

Heat oven to 370 degree.

Spray or grease a bundt pan (I used 10 in.)

Add flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl, mix.

Cream softened butter with 1/2 cup sugar.

Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar, beat.

Add 2 eggs at a time and beat well.

Add last 2 eggs, vanilla, and mix well.

Spoon 1/2 of the dough in bottom of the bundt pan.

Mix second half of dough with chocolate topping.

Layer on top of dough in bundt pan.

Use a fork and turn over the dough to create swirls.

Bake in heated oven for 40 minutes.

Toothpick check if the cake is done.

Cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.

My rough guess on the cost of the Marble cake ingredients is $12.00.

Eggs, butter, and cocoa/chocolate will be highest priced items.
