Harissa Pizza

Harissa is a seasoning made with chili pepper paste. After salt, garlic and coriander are added, the paste is stored in jars. Harissa paste is part of the daily culinary food tradition in Tunisian society. Ingredients:

Naan bread came in a package of (3). For this recipe, I used (2) breads but had enough to make (3).

2 x 8 in. whole wheat naan breads

1 x 8 oz package of harissa flavored tofu cubes

2 x 1/3 cup pizza sauce

2 x 1/4 cup cheese

1/2 - 1/3 onion, sliced


Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° (F)

  2. Place 2 naan breads on pizza sheet and cover with 1/3 cup of sauce each.

  3. Add tofu cubes, onions and top each bread with 1/4 cup of cheese.

  4. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.


Easy recipe school children can complete. After the sauce, pile on whatever your heart desires. For hardcore vegetarians, plant based cheese is available......Tasty lunch or dinner.
